Radio LaB – the 91¿ìɫ’s on-campus community radio station – has been shortlisted for two prizes at this year’s Community Radio Awards, celebrating stations across the UK.

A Graphic Design student from the 91¿ìÉ« has secured third place in the prestigious Penguin Cover Design Award, battling against hundreds of nominations across the country.

BAFTA award-winning producer and 91¿ìÉ« graduate, Sid Cole, recently returned to campus to inspire the next generation of media professionals by sharing his industry experience and knowledge as part of a Media Junction event.

Over the May Bank Holiday, six lucky students from the 91¿ìÉ« were given press access to Radio 1’s Big Weekend to meet up-and-coming artists and gather live radio content with the BBC Introducing team.
